1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the FlickCheck mobile application (“App”) and its related services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

FlickCheck is a movie and TV series discovery platform that offers personalized recommendations based on mood and genre. The App allows users to:

  • Discover content and see streaming availability (e.g., Netflix, Prime Video).

  • Track watched movies and create watchlists.

  • Interact with other users via “CineFeed” and private chat.

Important Disclaimer: FlickCheck does not provide streaming content directly. We do not host, upload, or stream any movies or TV shows. We only provide metadata and links to authorized third-party streaming platforms.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features (such as CineFeed, Chat, and Cloud Sync), you must create an account.

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

  • You agree to provide accurate and current information.

  • You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

  • You may delete your account and data at any time via the Settings > Delete My Account option in the App.

4. User-Generated Content (UGC) & Conduct

FlickCheck allows users to post reviews, ratings, and send messages (“User Content”).

  • License: You retain ownership of your content but grant FlickCheck a worldwide, royalty-free license to display it within the App.

  • Prohibited Content: We have a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content. You agree NOT to post content that is:

    • Defamatory, harassing, threatening, or bullying.

    • Hate speech, discriminatory, or promotes violence.

    • Pornographic, sexually explicit, or obscene.

    • Illegal or promotes illegal acts.

    • Spam or unauthorized advertising.

Moderation & Enforcement: FlickCheck reserves the right to remove any content that violates these Terms and to suspend or ban users who post such content, without prior notice. Users can report objectionable content via the in-app reporting tools.

5. VIP Membership & Subscriptions

FlickCheck offers a premium subscription (“VIP”) that unlocks features such as ad-free usage and advanced filters.

  • Payment: Payments will be charged to your iTunes (Apple ID) or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.

  • Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

  • Cancellation: You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device’s Account Settings. FlickCheck cannot process refunds directly; all refund requests must be directed to Apple or Google.

6. Intellectual Property

  • FlickCheck Rights: The App’s design, code, logo, and original content are owned by FlickCheck.

  • Third-Party Data: Movie metadata, posters, and images are provided by third-party services (such as TMDB). These are the property of their respective owners and are used for informational purposes only.

7. Third-Party Services

The App contains links to third-party websites or services (e.g., streaming platforms) that are not owned or controlled by FlickCheck. We assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. FlickCheck makes no warranties that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We do not guarantee the accuracy of streaming availability data, as third-party catalogs change frequently.

9. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall FlickCheck be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the App.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the App following any changes indicates your acceptance of the new Terms.
